Friday's are ruled by the planet Venus - which means it's time to let romance, love and compassion flow into your life today.
In Greek mythology Venus is Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Venus is feminine and rules our world of love and all desires - allowing the Venus energy to run free in your life with bring you great joy and love.
How can we introduce more of this Venus energy into our lives? Since it's Friday there is no time like the present. One of my favorite things to do on Friday's is to create a little altar for Venus - my intention is to allow love and compassion to flow freely into my life.
What you need for your altar:
1-2 Candles (preferably white, red or pink)
2 tumbled stones (1 large and 1 smaller) - if you have rose quartz that would be the best
Red, White or Pink flowers (you can sprinkle some of the petals around the candles and stones)
Anything that represents love to you such as hearts, photographs, and so on.
Light your candles with the intention to invite love, joy, beauty and compassion into your life.
If you single and seeking a partner - ask that you be guided towards the right partner or that the right partner become present in your life. If you are already in a relationship you can ask for love and compassion to embrace your relationship.
There are a few mantra's you can also say to yourself during the lighting of your candles and throughout the day.
"Om Klim Shum Shukraya Namah" - this mantra invokes the planetary deity and energizes the higher powers of Venus (the power of love, delight, contentment and fulfillment).
One last thing you can do to evoke the energy of Venus is to wear the colors of love on Friday's - red, pink and white.
