Daily Meditation: Happiness

The concept of the purpose of life is happiness, which is determined by the state of one's mind and emotions rather than one's external circumstances and/or events. When one's basic survival needs are met then happiness could be automatically achieved through the use of positive affirmation which can re-shape our attitudes, way of thinking and outlook in life - this simple method can train our hearts and minds to accept that happiness is the path and not the destination.

It is very important to generate a good attitude, a good heart, as much as possible. From this, happiness in both the short term and the long term for both yourself and others will come. ~ Dalai Lama
